Hi, I'm Xiufeng Guo, pronounced roughly like "ShowFom", which is where my online handle Showfom comes from. Friends have called me David since primary school. Any of the three works.
I run S.EE, a URL shortener and file sharing service used mostly by digital marketing companies. Outside of that, I've spent much of my working life administering Linux servers and buying more domain names than is sensible.
This blog is where I write about servers, the domain business, and whatever else is on my mind. Most posts are tutorials I wrote down so I wouldn't have to figure the same thing out twice.

I also help run a few non-profit, open source community services:
- n.wtf, custom packages of the Nginx web server
- c.im, a Mastodon instance
- p.lu, a PeerTube instance for video hosting
- r.nf, a Lemmy instance
They cost money and earn none, which I've decided is fine. Running services that respect people's privacy matters to me more than the hosting bill.
